Carl Lane Harbarger, retired truck driver, machinist and naval veteran, passed unexpectedly on August 23rd 2020 at the age of 80 years old. He was at home with his family at the time of his passing.

Carl is survived by his daughter, Carla Ann Taylor, grandchildren, Chevy Lane Taylor and Meghan Liz-Marie Taylor.
He was predeceased by his loving wife Dorothy Harbarger, his parents, Archie Harbarger and Dorothy Fretts Harbarger and two brothers, Archie Harbarger and John Harbarger.
Carl was born in Connellsville PA and spent much of his childhood in Dawson PA and Casper Wyoming. He graduated High School and registered with the United States Navy where he served as an aviation machinist during the Vietnam War. He eventually settled with his family in Fayette County and served several years with the Bullskin Volunteer Fire Department
Upon retirement , He and his wife joined their daughter in North Carolina, where he spent his final years after the passing of his wife in 2006. He will be greatly missed by his family and many close friends. Carl was his happiest camping, fishing and hunting with his friends and family.
Family and friends will be received for visitation at Ferguson Funeral Home in Scottsdale, Pennsylvania, on Friday, September 4, 2020, 6 pm to 8 pm, with a short service to follow.
A private family burial service will follow at a later date.
