Obituary for Harry Lee Rouse
Harry Lee Rouse of Greenville, passed away at home on April 8, 2022 surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Rouse was born in Greene County, NC, to the late Annie Murman Allen Rouse and Levie Holden Rouse on September 7, 1947. He graduated from Stokes Pactolus High School in 1965 and subsequently enlisted in the United States Army where he honorably served his country. He married the love of his life, Betty in 1970, and they have made their home in Greenville, NC for 52 years.
Mr. Rouse was retired from Burroughs Wellcome Co. As faithful servants of the Lord Jesus Christ, Mr. and Mrs. Rouse have been active members of Covenant Church and have led many others to know the Lord. Mr. Rouse also provided security services to the church for 12 years.
Mr. Rouse was so excited to go to Heaven and meet his Savior! He told Betty he would meet her at the Pearly Gates and show her everything about Heaven.
Along with his devoted wife, Betty, Mr. Rouse is survived by two sons, Harry Lee Rouse, Jr. and wife Heather, Christopher Rouse and wife Mary, 3 grandsons; Hunter Rouse, Brandon Rouse, and Chase Rouse. He is survived by four siblings, Ann Walley and husband James, Mr. Edward Rouse and wife Emily, Mrs. Dorothy Simpkins and husband Leon, Mr. Ricky Rouse and wife Linda.
Services will be held Saturday April 23, 2022 at Covenant Church at 11:00am
