Obituary

On Monday, April 13 2020, Thomas Robert Lundin, age 38, passed away peacefully in his hometown Greenville, NC from Nasopharyngeal cancer.

Tom was born on March 24 1982 in Madison, WI to James and Lynette (Klassy) Lundin. He graduated High School from D. H. Conley in 2000 in Greenville, NC. Immediately following his graduation he enlisted in the United States Army serving his country as an Apache Helicopter Crewchief and fighting in the Iraq War in 2003. After his service in the army, Tom served an additional year in the National Guard.

Tom graduated with an Associates Degree from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and was one semester away from graduating with a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from ECU when he was diagnosed with his cancer. Tom worked at Best Buy as both a GeekSquad Auto Tech and Home Installer.

Tom shared his big heart with friends, family, God, and his country, willing to give you the shirt off his back and fight to defend this great nation. He opened his home to rescue animals since the young age of 6, caring and loving these pets that had been abandoned / mistreated. He shared his passion for cars, racing, gaming, and building things with friends and family; making gifts with his 3D printer and found beauty in restoring things. He loved the outdoors - enjoying camping, fishing, hiking.

Tom is survived by his parents Jim and Lynn, his sister Lauren and her husband Kerry.

A memorial will be announced for a later date once COVID-19 virus restrictions have been lifted.

Flowers may be sent to 1914 Mallard Rd., Greenville, NC 27858 or 16938 Luvera Ln., Charlotte NC 28278.
